Below you see a pretty incomplete score of the beginning of the second
movement of Mozart's Quartet for Flute, Violin, Viola and Cello, K 285.
This second movement is in B minor. You can use this excerpt, together
with a recording, as an ear training exercise/dictation, in doing the following
(and I would do it in this order):
- Listen a few times
- Which cadences are used in: measure 4, measure 8, measure
16?
- Notate the bass and the soprano voices, and answer
the questions in the score
- Label all harmonies, at least at these spots (and maybe you
can do the rest as well..):
*
|
measures 1 - 4 |
*
|
measures 7 and 8 |
*
|
measures 13-16 |
You can best use this
pdf file for your notation. The answers you can find here.
